Unlock iPhone Classic And Update to Firmware 3.0
Disclaimer:
The tutorial below is addressed to those who can read such a tutorial
and have minimal knowledge about the iPhone. Do everything on their
own responsibility!
Can you update from any firmware - including 1.1.1 to 3.0.
In all it took me an hour and 20 minutes - with all the backup and
restore of back-up final.
 
Before you start you need to download some stuff.
It's good to save them all in the same folder, where we have at hand.
The steps refer to the Pwnage Tool for Mac OS X.
1. Firmware 3.0 for iPhone Classic (2G) from here.
Try to use to download another browser besides Safari. Firefox goes solid.
2. Pwnage Tool 3.0 (Mac) here. WinPwn (Windows) from here (upcoming)
3. If you have Windows you can use a custom firmware for the iPhone Classic.
4. Bootloaderele 3.9 and 4.6
Step 1: Follow steps back-up iPhone settings and documents
Step 2: Open and install Pwnage Tool, click OK when you are showing early Warning.
Step 3: Choose "Expert Mode". You will be asked to choose between 3 devices. I choose the left - the iPhone.
Step 4: Click on "Browse for ipsw", then click the arrow on the right foot. Search computer firmware downloaded from point 1. After you select it appears with a "seen". Press the blue arrow to move on.
Step 5: You will appear a page with several options. Click the "General".
Step 6: Very Important!
Mark both "Activate the phone" as well as "Enable Baseband update". Set Root partition size to a value greater than the name. I put 720 MB and it worked without problems. Then click the blue arrow.
Step 7: So important!
In Bootneuter Settings need to have checked: "Neuter Bootloader", "Unlock Baseband" and "Auto delete BootNeuter.app. Continue to Cydia Settings. push up "Download Packages" and you Refresh.
You double-click on those that matter to you. They will go to the "Selected Packages. I recommend or at least Open SSH, SSH Automatic, best-known sources and some other applications that used them before (like 5-Icon Dock).
Go back to the Select Packages and press the button below "Select All", then the blue arrow.
Step 8: Custom Boot Logos Settings

Step 9: Build and then press the arrow.

Step 11: Begin operation!

On the screen you will see clear instructions with which you enter in DFU Mode: press Home + Power for 10 seconds, take the hand of the Power and hold Home for the other 10 seconds. If successful you say you did, if not take a step back with 11.
Step 12: Open iTunes if it is closed (make sure it is version 8.2)
Step 13: Very Important!
Option + Click Restore. No update, nor restore itself. Ipsw you have to look into the computer. Not saved in step 10 on the desktop.
Let him do what he did. It may take up to 15 minutes. Do not disconnect the phone and do not press any button. Do not close iTunes or computer. Finally, the phone will reboot and will open one BootNeuter. Do not press anything until globe see on the screen.

Connect it to iTunes and press the Restore from Back-up. It takes up to 45 minutes! Do not click on anything. You let her do it. Finally you have a classic iPhone firmware 3.0 unlocked and with all your SMS, settings and everything you had before him.
Step 15: You may phone screen errors. Open Cydia and do all your updates that are offered. Close the phone and reopen it and open Cydia. Then install everything you want from there.
